This Privacy Policy explains how the Volume Booster Pro browser extension ("the extension") handles data.

Summary

Data processed locally

Settings. Your preferences (volume, "Soften loud sounds" and its options, sound mode, balance, mono, 8D sound settings, and per-site choices) are saved in your browser's extension storage. They stay on your device and are never transmitted to us or anyone else.

Audio and video on web pages. To change the volume and sound, the extension connects the page's audio/video elements to the browser's Web Audio API. Audio is processed in real time inside your browser and is not recorded, stored, or sent anywhere (except for the optional music recognition described below).

Page access. The extension runs on websites only to find media players, control their sound, and show its volume slider. It does not read, collect, or transmit page text, form data, or your activity. To process audio from media files hosted on other domains, the extension adds a CORS header to those media responses; requests are not logged or sent anywhere.

Optional music recognition

When you click the "Recognize music" button:

This happens only after you click the button and stops when you close the panel. No location, account, or identity information is sent; neutral placeholder location and time zone values are used. The extension does not store these clips. The processing of data by these services is governed by their own privacy policies:

If you do not use music recognition, no data leaves your device.
